Known affectionately as a hands-on dad and a devoted partner, Casey was engaging in a simple outdoor activity—s clearing a trail with his snowmobile to create a fun sled ride for his 10-month-old son, Ozzy, with the help of his partner, Ally Plett.
Tragically, the accident occurred when the snowmobile’s throttle became stuck, a mechanical failure that caused Casey to lose control and crash into an embankment across the road. According to Britt Andres, Plett’s sister, the crash happened just before noon. At the time, Casey was not wearing a helmet, and he was quickly airlifted to hospital aboard the STARS Air Ambulance. Sadly, while reports initially indicated he succumbed to his injuries at the scene, Andres later clarified that Casey passed away en route in the ambulance.
Andres shared that the entire family is devastated, deeply feeling the shock and grief that comes with such a sudden loss.
